π π’πππ₯π§ Symphony No. 29
π§ππππππ’π©π¦ππ¬ Symphony No. 2
Tchaikovsky considered Ukraine a second home and refuge, and he began work on his Second Symphony while staying just outside of Kyiv. One of his most joyful compositions, this symphony ingeniously incorporates Ukrainian folk songs. Equally lively, Mozartβs Symphony No. 29 features bright, dynamic orchestration with rich melodic interplay. Music Director Franz Welser-MΓΆst ties this concert program together with his perspective on the connections between these works and their role in his own creative development.
