R. STRAUSS Suite in Three Parts from “Der Rosenkavalier”

Two contrasting early-20th-century masterpieces capture the Orchestra’s trademark sound in this live recording. Franz Welser-Möst complements selections from a suite by Alban Berg and with his own suite from Strauss’s “Der Rosenkavalier,” creating a program grappling with an all-consuming love and lust through vastly different expressive means.
